Scans typically take 15-30 seconds. Results cached for 1 hour.

About This Tool

How the speed test works and what the scores mean

What's a good PageSpeed score?

Google grades scores on a 0-100 scale:

  • 90-100 (Good) - Fast and well-optimized.
  • 50-89 (Needs Improvement) - Usable, but there are real gains available.
  • 0-49 (Poor) - Users are likely bouncing. Needs work.

Mobile scores are typically lower than desktop because mobile simulates a slower device and network. Google uses mobile scores for search ranking.

What are Core Web Vitals?

Three metrics Google uses as ranking signals for user experience:

  • LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) - How long until the main content shows. Good: under 2.5s.
  • CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift) - How much the page jumps around as it loads. Good: under 0.1.
  • INP (Interaction to Next Paint) - How responsive the page feels to clicks and taps. Good: under 200ms.
Why does my score change each time?

PageSpeed runs a real Lighthouse audit from Google's servers each time. Variables like network latency, third-party script response time, and CDN warmth can all move the score by 5-10 points. For that reason, we cache results for 1 hour - repeat scans of the same URL return the cached run.

Can you actually fix these issues?

Yes. Most of the opportunities this tool surfaces - render-blocking resources, unused JavaScript, image optimization, server response time, caching policy - are things our team handles routinely as part of our WordPress and hosting services.

Book a free consultation and we'll walk through your specific report and give you an honest read on what's quick wins vs. what's deeper work.

Need someone to actually implement the fixes?

Our engineers specialize in performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, and hosting infrastructure.
