Common Engagements

How businesses typically work with us on cloud architecture.

🚀

Cloud Migration

Move your on-premises infrastructure to the cloud with minimal downtime and risk. We handle assessment, planning, migration, and optimization.

High-Availability Architecture

Design fault-tolerant systems that stay online even when components fail. Multi-region deployments, load balancing, and automatic failover.

🔄

DevOps & CI/CD

Implement modern deployment pipelines with infrastructure as code, containerization, and automated testing for faster, safer releases.

💰

Cost Reduction

Audit your existing cloud spend and implement optimizations that typically reduce costs by 20-40% without sacrificing performance.

Ongoing operations

Managed Infrastructure

One accountable team for the servers, databases, cloud resources and applications that make up your production environment.

Starting at $2,500/month

Or from $25,000/year — twelve months of cover for ten months' fee, with onboarding included. ($2,083.33/month effective.)

Monthly agreements: infrastructure onboarding and baseline from $1,500.

Typical engagement ranges

Foundation

$2,500–$3,500/mo

$25,000–$35,000/yr

Smaller production cloud environments with a handful of compute and database resources and a primary business application.

Often resembles

  • A few compute instances
  • One or two database services
  • A single primary production application
  • Standard load balancing, storage and backup
  • Conventional single-cloud architecture

Growth

$4,000–$6,000/mo

$40,000–$60,000/yr

Larger multi-resource platforms with multiple compute and database services, staging and production, load balancing, caching and more active operations.

Often resembles

  • Several compute instances
  • Multiple databases
  • Production and staging environments
  • Load balancers and Redis/caching
  • More frequent deployments and coordination

Scale / Mission Critical

$6,000–$10,000+/mo

$60,000–$100,000+/yr

Complex SaaS, Moodle, hosting, e-commerce and high-availability platforms with substantial production responsibility.

Often resembles

  • 10+ compute instances
  • Multiple production databases
  • HA and load-balanced architecture
  • Multiple application tiers
  • Significant customer-facing workloads

These ranges are illustrative. Managed Infrastructure is scoped around the size, architecture, application complexity, operational workload and service requirements of your environment — not a simple per-resource formula. Two environments with the same instance count can sit in different bands.

What the engagement can cover

Environment monitoring

Across compute, databases, load balancers, caches and storage — not one host at a time.

Human incident response

A person investigating, with a response target agreed in the proposal.

Server & OS operations

Patching, maintenance and configuration across the estate.

Database operations

Managed database and RDS operational oversight, performance and capacity.

Security & IAM

Vulnerability oversight, access review and security posture across the environment.

Backup & recovery

Backup monitoring, recovery planning and disaster-recovery design.

Performance & capacity

Resource planning and cost recommendations before capacity becomes an incident.

Architecture oversight

Change coordination, production/staging discipline and regular architecture review.

Scope is set in the proposal. Not every cloud service or DevOps responsibility is included in every engagement — what we take responsibility for is written down before it starts.

Management keeps it running. Projects change it.

Recurring management covers normal operation, maintenance, security and incident remediation within the agreed environment. Work that materially changes or builds the environment is quoted separately, or handled through On-Demand Support:

  • Cloud or datacenter migrations
  • Architecture redesigns
  • Major new infrastructure deployments
  • Application development and substantial code debugging
  • Database redesign
  • Major version upgrades needing application remediation
  • Kubernetes and CI/CD implementations
  • Infrastructure-as-code projects
  • High-availability redesigns
  • Large compliance or modernization projects

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Which cloud provider should I use?

It depends on your specific needs. AWS offers the broadest service selection, Azure integrates well with Microsoft ecosystems, and Google Cloud excels at data analytics. We often recommend a multi-cloud approach for critical workloads.

How long does a cloud migration take?

Simple migrations can be done in days, while complex enterprise migrations may take months. We provide a detailed assessment and timeline before starting any migration project.

Can you help reduce our current cloud costs?

Absolutely. Most organizations overspend on cloud by 20-40%. We audit your infrastructure, identify waste, and implement reserved instances, right-sizing, and auto-scaling to optimize costs.

Do you provide ongoing management after setup?

Yes. Managed Infrastructure is our ongoing operational engagement for multi-server and cloud environments — 24/7 monitoring, human incident response, security and patching, backup and recovery oversight, performance and capacity work, and architecture oversight across the whole environment. Engagements start at $2,500/month. If you only need one production server looked after, the standardized Managed Server plans start at $495/server/month.

How is Managed Infrastructure priced?

By the operational scope we take on, not by a per-resource formula. Environment size, architecture, application complexity, production criticality, deployment frequency and availability requirements all move the number, which is why the published figures are ranges rather than a price list. Foundation engagements typically run $2,500–$3,500/month, Growth $4,000–$6,000, and Scale $6,000–$10,000+. We confirm the figure in a written proposal after an infrastructure review.

What is included in the infrastructure onboarding fee?

A full inventory and baseline of the environment: access and resource discovery, architecture documentation, security and IAM review, backup and recovery assessment, monitoring deployment across the estate, and a remediation plan. Monthly agreements start at $1,500 depending on environment complexity. Annual agreements include it.

Does Managed Infrastructure include migrations and new build work?

No — those are project engagements. Recurring management keeps the existing environment secure, healthy and operating. Migrations, architecture redesigns, new platform builds, Kubernetes or CI/CD implementations and similar work are scoped and quoted separately, and we are happy to do both.
