Google Gemini

Google Gemini for Workspace businesses

  • We build with it
  • We use it ourselves

If your business already runs on Google Workspace, Gemini is the model with the shortest path to your own data — it is already sitting beside the inbox, the drive and the spreadsheets. We build automations across Workspace, and tell you honestly which parts are worth paying for.

The relationship

How we work with Google Gemini

  • Build

    We build with it

We build automations across Workspace and on the Gemini API: documents read out of Drive, data written into Sheets, mail triaged in Gmail, and model-backed features in your own applications.

  • In-house

    We use it ourselves

We run Workspace ourselves and use these models in our own work, so the advice on what is genuinely useful comes from using it rather than from Google’s announcements.

Google Gemini problems we fix

You don’t need to know the technical name for it. Tell us what’s happening, and we’ll work out what needs attention.

  1. “Inbound mail needs reading, sorting and acting on.”

We build the triage: classify what arrives, extract what matters, and put it where the work happens — with the awkward ones flagged for a person instead of guessed at.

  2. “The business runs on spreadsheets nobody has time to maintain.”

We automate what fills them: data pulled in, reconciled and written back, so the sheet stops being somebody’s Monday morning.

  3. “Workspace AI licences were bought and nobody uses them.”

Extremely common. We work out which seats are genuinely getting value, show people the uses that save them time, and tell you where the licence is not worth renewing.

  4. “You need to be sure it only sees what each person may see.”

We build on Workspace’s own permissions rather than beside them, so an assistant answers from what that person could already open and nothing else.

  5. “Workspace needs to talk to systems outside Google.”

We wire Drive, Sheets, Gmail and Calendar into the other applications you run, through an automation platform or directly against the APIs.

  6. “You are not sure whether to use Gemini or Vertex AI.”

Different products for different jobs — one is the assistant in the apps, the other is the platform you build on. We will tell you which your situation calls for, and whether you need both.

Questions we get

Google Gemini, answered plainly

We are already on Google Workspace. Does that settle it?

It is a real advantage — the data is already there, the permissions already exist, and there is no new vendor to approve. It does not settle it: we still pick the model per workload, and for some jobs another provider is simply better. Being on Workspace makes Gemini the first thing we try, not the only one.

Is the Workspace AI add-on worth paying for?

For some teams and not others, and it depends almost entirely on whether people actually change how they work. We would rather look at what your team does all day before you buy seats than help you justify them afterwards.

What is the difference between Gemini and Vertex AI?

Gemini is the model, and the assistant inside the Workspace apps. Vertex AI is Google Cloud’s platform for building on it, with the controls and logging a production system wants. Simple automations need the first; something your business depends on usually wants the second.

Can it see our Drive and Gmail safely?

It can work within the permissions each person already has, which is the right way round — an assistant that can read more than the person asking is a problem whatever the provider. We build on Workspace’s own access model rather than around it, and put what leaves your tenancy in writing.
